Hi, I’m Katie, and I’m the Producing Artistic Director of Risk/Reward. Since the pandemic started, Risk/Reward has pivoted in a number of exciting ways - we even put on the first live performance in Portland in over four months at the beginning of the pandemic, our drive in event called Pavement, a collaboration with Boom Arts. I grew up with a mother who sewed everything from clothes to pillow cases to cloth napkins and so much more. While I pushed some of her lessons away, I learned enough to be able to pick back up when I found myself with a lot of free time. Getting back into sewing has been an awesome project for me, and it has also opened up connections I hadn’t even expected. Specifically, I made over one hundred masks for the Warm Springs and Yakima tribes! I’m continually expanding my repertoire and have enjoyed having my Etsy shop as a way to help me through these rough financial times.
100% Cotton handmade Olson-style masks, prewashed and preshrunk. Currently have plenty of holiday fabrics available. Makes a great stocking stuffer. Plus, I have baby gear - burp cloths, teething rings, blankets, and more. I’m always updating fabrics, so keep checking back!
