With deep roots in Chicago's storefront and regional theater scene, I am now a Seattle-based draper and custom clothier. I started my career at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater in 2006 while also working as a freelancer, designing and making costumes for theaters throughout Chicago and making custom bridal and special occasion dresses. Since moving to the Seattle area in 2019, I have had the opportunity to work at many Seattle area theaters, including The 5th Avenue Theater, Seattle Rep, Seattle Opera, and Teatro ZinZanni. While The Covid pandemic interrupted a great theater season, the silver lining for me has been spending more time with my very best creation, my 2-year-old son, Stellan.
I created the Needle and Hammer as a place to find high quality, sustainably-sourced items for kids and families. You will find cute and cozy clothes for the littles in your life, as well as playsets (available only locally to the Seattle area) for the most energetic kiddos.
