Sally Caswell makes hats and headpieces for every day wear and for special occasions, while also working part-time at Arnold Levine, Inc., a theatrical millinery business in New York, providing hats and headpieces for Broadway, as well as regional theaters, national ballet and opera companies, TV shows, and more. As we all know, the spread of Covid-19 has shut down both the theatrical world and the special occasion world, as theater, races, weddings, parties, and other occasions have all been cancelled or postponed. It's a tough time to be a milliner. Sally has been making hats for 14 years. After completing the Millinery Certificate at FIT, she started her business and has been working ever since. She is always updating and refining her skills and knowledge with classes from renowned milliners from around the world. Sally has had the good fortune to work with master milliner, Stephen Jones, for NY Fashion Week, making hats for Marc Jacobs and Savage Fenty, as well as working with Mr. Jones on the installation of the headpieces for "In Pursuit of Fashion" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sally is currently serving as President of the Milliners Guild, a national organization of milliners dedicated to supporting milliners and promoting hat wearing.
